AHH yes its this time of year again when the time is right or ripe should i say (haha) for a good old harvest of fruit. Our pear, plum, apple and walnut tree have done very well!!!
As you can see safety first ! those lil buggers dont half hurt when they come crashing down from the heights of the mangroves!! A helmet is and ideal solution...not the rubbery type(haha) so it was straight into the fruit bowl then most of them in the freezer for all kinds of mother's and father's concoctions....alcohol mainly! I'm looking forward to getting my hands round some nuts next week!... walnuts that is..(haha) And on the first frost of the year sloe berry's will be ready for picking....mmmmm sloe gin!!!!
