wello, i finally finished the rebuild of the old vw steering wheel yesterday. higgingshad very kindly milled out the boss from the spare wheel i had. drilled a few holes for fixing the boss and the wheel together. re-wired the horn button and put it on my car this morning.
only to be pissed off because there wasnt enough room for my hands to hold it propperly because there wasnt enough clearence between the wheel and the indicator/wiper controls.
what a bastard!

i think now the only way to get this to work is if i can get higgins to mill me a bit more metal to act as another spacer/boss.
