6:30am rude awakening

who loves being woken up at ungodly hours by large fluttering insects?

i bloody do !

this bad boy woke me up by ram-raiding my face and hovering above my slumbering comatose body. at first i was slightly miffed, but when i realized what it was i was in ultimate joy !

at first it was reluctant to get a decent photo of itself, wriggling around in my hand and flying streight for my cammo shorts. a snapshot was taken and i decided to respectfully take the beastie outside and place it amongst the flora and fauna of my garden. it was only there it decided to play along and let me take a few "in my hand" shots. after i placed the chap back in the prtective shad of a nice plant and had a cuppa'.

what a guy !

how can you touch that, they are the spawn of my fear of moths. When collecting a football from the row of conifers in my very own woolton hill gardeb i unexpectedly put my hand were one was hanging from a tree with loads of its eggs. Had to go and change my pants shortly after!
